Get Involved

Just as Jesus Christ came “not to be ministered to, but to minister,”        we accept our responsibility to reach out in service to others. At New World, we believe it is a privilege to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our own church body, in our neighborhoods and communities, and around the globe. Join us for one of our many opportunities to serve!

IN OUR CHURCH

New World is full of opportunities for you to serve. We can help you find a place to use your gifts and talents to make a difference. The Body of Christ is designed as a community, as one body, where we meet the needs of those around us. When we all come together, we truly can make a difference!

Our goal is for every guest and member to receive a warm welcome from the moment they enter our parking lot and come through our doors. If you are interested in serving as a friendly Sunday morning greeter/host, usher, or parking lot attendant, please contact staff@nwumc.org.

Trained Stephen Ministers are available to minister one-on-one to those who are experiencing a crisis, facing a challenge or simply going through a tough time. For more information about Stephen Ministry, visit http://www.stephenministries.org/ or contact Rev. Leslie Byrd or Sarah Cantrell at 817.460.4212.

At New World UMC, we believe that we have the privilege of serving one another through our unique gifts and talents. We have many opportunities available for you to join us as we portray the love of Jesus to one another in our everyday lives. From children’s ministry, to greeter, to prayer team or musical performance, there is a place for you to jump in and be a part of what God is doing at New World UMC.

Join us as we serve one another!
