"Never underestimate the transforming power of small actions." (Excerpt from Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations by Robert Schnase.) The 2010 NWUMC Garage Sale was a grand success! A portion of the proceeds has been designated for the Habitat House that New World will build in October with First UMC Arlngton and Keller UMC. The remainder of the proceeds will be used to support both local and global missions through apportionments. Thanks to all who contributed to the success of this annual August event.

New World turned 35 in 2009 and celebrated 35 years of missions and ministry. The power of 35 is truly amazing.

Many are contributing to The Power of 35 plan a suggested amount of $35 monthly over and above their regular giving to help us to repair and maintain our facility without borrowing money to do so.

We so appreciate your generosity as, together, we continue to be the church God calls us to be.

For many years, New World has partnered with Carter Blood Care, holding two blood drives a year. We completed our second drive July 18th and have scheduled our next drive for February 13, 2011. If you were not able to schedule an appointment for the July drive, please consider donating at the Carter Bloodcare Arlington Center,1618 Randol Mill Rd., 76012,and ask to have your donation credited to New World. Blood donations are gifts of life for others and a way to express our thanks that we are healthy enough to give.
